Ok

I received the vacuum pump but when used the gauge was reading as no vacuum being held, I tool apart the pump and noticed that the diaphragm which holds/creates the vacuum and not been fitted correctly and was loose in the chamber. Once pushed back where it was supposed to fit it worked correctly
